Move an existing podcast to Podspace
Moving an existing podcast to Podspace is an easy process where you import your podcast to Podspace, publish it and redirect you old RSS feed to the new Podspace feed. Here's a simple step-by-step guide.
1. Import your content
When you're new to Podspace or when you create a new podcast, you have the option to create one from scratch or import an existing podcast along with all of it's episodes. Select the "Move to Podspace" option and press Continue. In the next step you'll get to input the current RSS feed of your podcast. Once you press "Import" Podspace will start to import all of your episodes and general podcast settings (like cover images and descriptions) to your Podspace account.
Please note that if you have ads enabled in your old podcast host, those will be imported as well as part of the episodes. Make sure you turn ads off well in advance before initiating the move.
As soon as Podspace is done syncing, you'll have all of your content available from a new RSS feed, and you're ready to move on to the next step.
This is an import procedure and not an ongoing sync. If you keep publishing episodes with your old provider after you've imported the podcast to Podspace, we recommend that you delete the podcast in Podspace and import it again before moving on to step 2.
2. Redirect your old RSS feed to Podspace
Now it's time to redirect your old feed to the new one. Head over to the "Distribution" section in the left navigation to find your RSS feed url. Don't publish your podcast here, it will happen automatically once the redirect is set up. Log in to your old podcast host and redirect the feed to the new one you've got in Podspace. Here are a few examples on how to set up a redirect in Libsyn, Acast and Spotify.
To check that the redirect is set up correctly, you can copy the old RSS feed into a browser and see that you're instantly redirected to the new one. There's no need to change anything in the listener apps like Spotify or Apple, they will be updated in time automatically.
3. Validate and distribute
It may take 30 minutes for the redirect to properly go through, but once it does you'll see in the Distribution page that your podcast is now published. Distribution to Apple Podcasts and Spotify may look like it's pending for a while until everything is properly set up and confirmed.
4. And you're done!
Once the redirect has gone through you're all set! We recommend that you keep your account with your old podcast host for a few days to make sure everything is working as it should.

Stats like listens/downloads available through your old podcast host will not be imported, so we recommend that you export the data you're interested in from your old host before canceling that account.
