Add a new episode to a podcast
Adding a new episode to a podcast is easy, here's how you do it.
1. Create
Go to the podcast to which you want to add a new episode, click "New episode" or use keyboard shortcut Command+E.
2. Configure
There are a few things to configure when you add a new episode.
Media (mandatory): Add your audio (mp3) and optional episode cover (PNG or JPG up to 5 mb). If you don't add a cover image for the episode we'll instead use your podcast cover image.
Explicit content: Flag the episode as containing explicit content if it includes mature themes or strong language.
Title (mandatory): The title of the episode. 50-60 characters is our recommended length to make sure it is readable in most apps and players. Keep the episode titles consistent so they are easy to browse for listeners.
Description (mandatory): A description of what this episode is about.
Ad spots: Configure the ad spots for this episode. You can toggle each spot on and off, and add specific time stamps for when you want ads to appear in your episode. Please note that configuring ad spots doesn't mean that ads will appear in your podcast. To enable ads in your podcast, go to Podspace Ads and toggle them on.
3. Schedule release
The last step of the episode configuration is to schedule the release of the episode. Here you have three options:
Now: The episode will be released as soon as possible.
Later: Set a date and time for when you want your episode to be released. For date and time, we'll use the time zone settings you configured for the podcast.
Draft: Save the episode as unreleased and come back to it later.
4. Save and done!
Your episode will be released according to your configurations.
